For a two hour job (or something like that), I am pretty pleased with the results. I managed to paint convincing eyes and even eyebrows! I also tested out two colours that I had never really painted and they turned out pretty good as well, which is encouraging. All in all, it was a great little model to paint and I enjoyed trying out something new (especially since I am more used to painting Space Marines than anything else).
Another thing I am pleased with is my current photography setup. It's very simple but it works pretty well when the outside light is good. Quick picture to show you what I am talking about.

Very nice looking model, especially for getting him done in about two hours! That is quite a feat. Interesting miniature, as well. It looks like whoever sculpted him knows something about firearms, because the model does not have his finger on the trigger. You should never have your finger on the trigger until you are ready to fire. Hats off to the sculptor.

DeleteThat's actually a piece of detail that I completely missed, but which, as you have said, makes complete sense. Kev White is a great sculptor, and if you'd like to see more of his sculpted miniatures, I'd suggest you go and look at the Hasslfree Miniatures website. Over 90% of the models were sculpted by him and there are some real jewels in both the Fantasy and the more Modern/Sci-fi ranges.
